		<description>I read that when he left his instructions how to feed his cat, the friend commented on why he was bothering. James Dean was only going to be gone for the weekend. But James Dean commented, &quot;You never know what will happen. I may not come back.&quot; 

The night before his fateful trip to Salinas for the races, Dean left his cat with friend Jeanette Miller, along with handwritten instructions for care and feeding of his pet: &quot;1 teaspoon white Karo, 1 big can evaporated milk, equal part boiled water or distilled water, 1 egg yoke [sic], mix and chill. Don&#039;t feed him meat or formula cold. 1 drop vitamin solution per day. Take Marcus to Dr. Cooper on Melrose for shots next week.&quot; The note is in the James Dean Archives.</description>
