Home sweet home… Heart and Soul #8sunday #snippetsunday

Setup for this snippet: WIP from Heart and Soul. This is a snippet from my new 'rock star romance' that I'm working on. It's in the very early stages.

Last week : Rowan felt a strange connection to Maverick but the sensation vanished before she could figure out what it meant.

This is Rowan's POV.

"The employees usually park in the back," he explained with a jerk of his thumb behind him.

"I'll make sure to park there tomorrow."

He nodded. "Ready to see your new home?"

She stood from the stool and followed Maverick outside where he locked the door behind them. They headed around the corner of the brick building to the stairs leading to the second level. He had said the apartment was close by. She hadn't expected it to be above the coffeehouse.

There were two apartments it appeared and she could only assume he lived next door. If she remembered right, he had said he lived in the same complex. He placed the key in the lock and turned the knob.

Love to hear your feed back. 🙂

About Heart and Soul...

80s rock star, Haley Rose went missing without a trace on October 31 1988 and was eventually presumed dead. Three decades later, a thirty-year old woman, Rowan Beckett recalls things only Haley Rose would know and she can belt out songs in the same fashion as the missing 80s star. However, Rowan couldn't be the missing rock star since the woman would now be in her fifties. Could Haley Rose have came back reincarnated as Rowan Beckett?

  1. This is definitely going to prove interesting. Either on the resistance between them, or the heightened awareness that your neighbor can hear you… Great snippet, Karen. 🙂

  2. Double edged sword, living side by side and can lead to some interesting interactions, I’m sure. Love the blurb, love the picture at the top of your blog, loved the snippet.
