NOOK

Set up: Fair is fair. Alan has a few questions of his own. Only Michaela is wee bit distracted.

***Note: This takes place a few paragraphs later from last week's snippet, and the snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit. Yes again there is some fancy punctuations and some long sentences. lol :)

“How come ye made this holiday by yerself? Do ye no’ have a man waitin’ for ye back home?”

“Like you said, some relationships aren’t meant to be,” she said, frowning as the realization hit her like a sledgehammer. Her time was up. There would be no more dating, no more relationships… damn, no more sex for that matter. Unfortunately, her libido didn’t listen to her brain. Her gaze slid over the man in front of her and her mind went wild with thoughts of running her hands beneath his sweater and over his hard abs, making her wondered if he had a trail of dark hair leading down below the waistline of his jeans to where—“Jesus,” the word slipped out beneath her breath.

Michaela may be dying, but she isn't dead yet and this snippet only proves it.  :)

Like always thanks so much for stopping by. I would love to know what you thought of the snippet.

If you're interested here's a blurb for Magic of the Loch:

Michaela Grant travels to Scotland for a holiday, knowing this vacation is her last. A medical condition threatens her life and any chance of a future—until she meets Alan MacLachlin, a man forced to exist between two worlds.

Alan is the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Once every fifty years he returns to human form in search of his soul mate, the one woman who can break his curse. He believes he has found forever with Michaela, but to claim it he must figure out how to save her life.

Michaela and Alan vow to take what time has to offer, but another threat looms. A sinister shape shifter with a vendetta against Alan is making Loch Ness his personal hunting ground. Now he's threatening Michaela. Alan must discover who the shifter is and stop him before it's too late.

  1. Love this snuppet — Michaela is great–love her inner thoughts and the way she says what’s on her mind.

  2. Sounds like her imagination is taking her to some interesting places. I hope she goes ahead and acts on her thoughts since her time is up. Love the last line — it says so much!

  3. Just because you’re not getting any action doesn’t mean you can’t fantasize about it! I hope this is one fantasy that can come true.
