Eli is a Fallen Angel and knows the rules that govern them. Don’t befriend a human; don’t interfere in their lives; don’t have relations with them: and never, ever reveal your true self. Unfortunately for Eli, he broke all the rules when he fell in love with Ryden O’Sullivan. Brought up in front of the Watcher council, the Elders are giving Eli until end of All Hollow’s Eve to have Ryden fall in love with him all over again-this time as a human. If he fails, then his life is forfeited.
ELI kicks off an amazing new series by Karen Michelle Nutt called the Warriors For The Light/Fallen Angels series. I picked this up at bedtime and basically could not put it down. It drew me in, kept me glued to the pages and had me so hooked by the end of chapter one, I was unable to go to bed until I finished the book. It was wonderfully well written and very engrossing. This was the first book of this author’s I have read and I just had to find out if she had other books for me to explore. With each page, the reader is drawn into a world of fallen angels, love and soul mates. The secondary characters kept the story flowing smoothly and I am eager to see who the next book will be about as there were a few characters that had me intrigued.
Meet Eli, a fallen angel who breaks all the rules that govern his kind by falling in love with a human. There are some among the Fallen Angels who fear change and resist it at all costs. Eli is given the chance to prove to the Elders and the Watchers that there are soul mates for them all. But there are two catches: One, he is to be a human, his glamour and wings bound and two, he has until end of All Hollows Eve to get his love, Ryden O’Sullivan to fall in love with him. If he fails, his life is forfeited. I loved Eli. He was a breath of fresh air and delivers a charisma that drew me in. His deep convictions that there were soul mates for the fallen angels were powerful and made him a few enemies in the process. Eli is a strong man who finds himself in a unique position when he has to woo his lady’s heart-AGAIN!!! Strong characters keep the story flowing nicely and the many twists and turns left me gasping as I flipped the pages to see what would happen next.
ELI: WARRIORS FOR THE LIGHT is a story that isn’t just a romance but one that asks “If you found your soul mate once, can you fall in love all over again?” This question is one that will run through your mind the entire time you read this exciting new kick off to the Fallen Angels series. Ms. Nutt is a talented storyteller who delivered a story that will intrigue you from the beginning. I am eager to see which fallen angel is next to find their soul mate. I just hope it won’t be too long in the future. If you are looking for a new twist on fallen angels, then grab ELI: WARRIORS FOR THE LIGHT and settle in for one pulse pounding ride. I just recommend you don’t start this right before bed.
Bitten By Books Reviews Eli
Thanks Emma D. for a wonderful review!!

Warning: Do not start this unless you have time to finish. I started it in my lunch hour at work and had to keep sneaking a read until I finished
“There are four rules that the Fallen Angels must keep::
1- Do not befriend a human
2- Do not interfere in their lives
3- Do not have relations with a human
4- Under no circumstances will you ever reveal your true self.”
Having lived for more than a few centuries, Eli has succumbed to the charms of Ryden and broken every single rule. Brought in for his judgment, Eli is defiant and insistent that Ryden is his true soulmate. In the face of this persistent, the judgment against Eli gives him 24 hours to have Ryden declare her love for him, but he must go back in time to do so before he and Ryden became a couple. Will Ryden still love him without his glamour and can she overcome her inherent wariness to declare her love in such a short time?
As a Fallen Angel, Eli has an inherent glamour that draws the so-called “lesser species” to him. The elders refuse to believe that Ryden could love Eli for himself without his glamour. If they were to accept this, it would change the whole structure of their society. Eli, though, knows she does and is prepared to face death for this belief. If you are looking for a strong-willed protective male lead then go no further, Eli will defend Ryden with his life even when his powers are bound and he has to rely on only his long years of experience as a warrior.
I almost gave this a five as is very well written and draws you in. As stated above, I started this very compelling story in my lunch hour and had to keep stealing reads until I finished. The only reasons it didn’t get a five where a couple of little niggles; there is one question that, while briefly asked, is never answered and it bugged me. When a Fallen Angel finds a soulmate in a human, what happens when the human dies, or does being mated somehow give the human longevity? The only other slight niggle was the glossary at the start. Since this was there, I didn’t expect explanations for all the terms throughout the story but they were there and it was just a little frustrating.
I really enjoyed this as an obvious start to a series and am very eager to find out how the other Fallen Angels find their soulmates. The next story will be challenging as Lucca seems a real piece of work.
So in closing, this is an enthralling story that leaves you wanting more and wondering just how the other Fallen Angels stories will come about.

Sydney Carlisle was on the run and sick of it after more than a year. Betrayed by the man she thought she knew and loved, she fled to save her life, only to find that he'd turned her into something that wasn’t always human.
Grayson Quinn had chased Sydney for far longer than he thought he would have to, and now he'd found her... and intends to settle things once and for all before it's too late.
This book was great. I thought the words flowed smoothly and the storyline kept me wanting to read it. I only wish it was longer!

Gillian Metcalf has been troubled for years by the same reoccurring dream which has grown more persistent as her wedding day approaches. These passionate visions are insistent that her true soul mate exists, whether in the here and now or in a past life, and he is out there, waiting for her. What’s frustrating her most, Gillian doesn't know who her soul mate is, his features are always hazy, his touch is familiarly tender, but the words he expresses are foreign to her. As soon as she hears this endearment, “Gra Mo Chroi“, Gillian will know for certain she has found her true mate, unfortunately it’s not the man she is soon to marry.
Gillian could no longer deny the sense of importance emanating from these dreams and decided to cancel her marriage to Jerry, an all around perfect guy. Wanting time to reflect on what she had done, Gillian kept her honeymoon reservations aboard the Queen Mary, a ship renowned for its ethereal phenomenon and invited her best friend, Samantha to join her. In route to the pier, where the Queen Mary is permanently docked, Gillian nearly ran over a dog, darting out in front of her SUV. She noticed it’s the same dog, Molly, which has appeared to her several times before and always seems to want her to follow. But why or was she truly going crazy?
The events that follow mystify and astonish Gillian, but it’s not the misunderstanding with her reservations or the fact that she was offered a haunted room and compensated with a ghostly tour package that caught her attention. It was what she discovered in her room among the artifacts of the Ida Belle, a picture of a familiar dog, taken in the 1800’s. She had no time to ponder, at that moment she came face to face with the mysterious dog in question and before she knew it she passed out. When she woke, Gillian was no longer aboard the Queen Mary, but afloat onboard the Ida Belle and in an unfamiliar room with a strange, but gorgeous man asleep in the bed.
Years after his father lost the family estate in a gambling event, Zachary Creighton has become obsessed with winning Creighton Manor back from the man who now owns it, Cyrus Locke. But fate will soon turn his life’s strategy upside down when a beautiful and practically naked woman appears in his room. After being forced to marry each other, their lives have forever changed. Will Gillian come to terms with her true emotions, even if it means not finding her true soul mate? Or will time reclaim Gillian before she realizes what she truly wants? Will Zachary be able to put aside his obsession and accept what he feels deep within his heart? And is the mysterious dog somehow connected to them?
Creighton Manor is an incredibly heartwarming and fantastic love story that has been magically brought to life by the rich and vibrant words of Karen Michelle Nutt. Yet again, Karen Michelle Nutt has envisioned a spectacular tale that will charm any reader, captivating them with the multiple twists and turns within the story line. The unspoken passion between Gillian and Zachary will leave the reader breathlessly anticipating the end, devouring each and every page. I most definitely will recommend Creighton Manor to anyone who has a love for reading.

Sydney Carlisle has been running from what she is for a year following the attack that changed her into a monster that sprouts fur and howls at the moon. All she wants is to be left alone and to live life on her own terms. Everything seems to be going her way until the man who is the cause of her suffering arrives with some news of his own, and damn if he’s not as gorgeous and irresistible as ever.
Grayson Quinn has been searching for the woman he recognized as his mate for a full year following her transformation to moon shifter. He knows she hates him, but has no choice but to capture her and tell her the truth. She has to choose a mate, and soon. Otherwise, she’ll risk bonding with a male she doesn’t love as the wolf takes control and makes the decision for her. And he’ll be damned if he allows her to suffer anymore than she already has.
Karen Michelle Nutt has crafted a world with intriguing characters that captivate the attention and keep your focus from beginning to end. From the start, when we meet a wolven Sydney facing off against her former lover, I knew I was in for something special. It’s apparent they still care for one another, but due to past scars, refuse to confess their feelings. Revealing those circumstances that changed Sydney will ruin the story, but I can say there is a ton of emotion packed inside the pages because of it, and Sydney and Greyson deliver the goods time and again.
The material itself is flawlessly presented, and flows so quickly you’ll finish before you’re ready. By the time I came to the last page, I wanted to know more about the protagonists, and couldn’t help but imagine the life they would share together. It was bittersweet, as you are allowed to envision your own future for them, but I wouldn’t have complained in the least if there was more to enjoy. This is the kind of story you’ll think about long after you’ve finished.
Werewolf fans, be sure to put Moon Shifter on your TBR list. I couldn’t put this delightful little novella down.
