The Curse of Tempest Gate is reviewed by TwoLips Reviews

Clarity Shaw visits the Tempest Gate Hotel in Salem, New Hampshire in the hopes of getting the scoop on the reported phenomenon, which occurs every Halloween at the abandoned graveyard nearby.  She’s an investigative reporter for the magazine Unbelievable Finds, which specializes in paranormal findings.  Supposedly, every year on Halloween night, the statue of Archangel Michael and the marble “Devil’s Chair” transform into the corporal bodies of Michael Davenport and Samael Fenton.  One more time they will fight to the death for the love a woman named Mary Peabody.

Clarity has heard the harrowing reports of people who have ventured into the cemetery on Halloween night and never made it out alive, or if they do get out alive, they are altered forever.  On a trip to capture the Devil’s Chair and statue of the angel with her camera, Clarity finds she has stayed at the cemetery as night closes in - and she’s not alone.  Not only do the spirits return in their human form but they are accompanied by a ghost and a witch.  Now locked in the cemetery, Clarity may not make it out alive as the lethal struggle begins once again.

Nothing like a night trip to an abandoned graveyard on Halloween to make one’s spine tingle.  Throw in a lethal curse and The Curse of Tempest Gate becomes the perfect campfire tale.  Although some aspects of the story are predictable, Karen Michelle Nutt brings urgency to the story which made me want to keep turning the pages.  I loved the history Ms. Nutt added at the end of the story about the Devil’s Chair and the details behind her delightful tale of terror and justice.  The Curse of Tempest Gate is the perfect story to read on a stormy night.

Eli Reviewed by Paranormal Romance Reviews

My first review for Eli: Warriors for the light. I'm so thrilled!  Thanks Missy at Paranormal Reviews!
Full review at ParaNormal Romance Reviews

Snippet of the review:

Eli: Warriors for the Light is the first in the Fallen Angels series. The series starts off with Eli, a fallen angel who breaks the rules and tells a human about what he is. Faced with death, or proving that even without his powers Ryden would still love him; he sets out to win her heart, again!! Asking the question, "if you truly are soul mates, wouldn't you fall in love all over again?" Ms. Nutt has a gift for quality storytelling that moves the reader and leaves them very satisfied. This is a story with great characters, and the introduction of all the fallen angels and their stories to come. I loved the characters and felt I was able to get to them individually, without taking away from the story. I really liked the villain, Lucca, and I cannot wait for his story coming soon! I have reviewed several of Ms. Nutt's works and I am always left satisfied.

Review - Moon Shifter by Karen Michelle Nutt Plus Comment Contest

Genre: Paranormal/Shifters
Publisher: The Wild Rose Press
Release Date: 2009
Paperback $2.00
Pages: 76
Heat Rating: Spicy
Rating: 4.5 of 5.0
Blurb

The Mac Tíre forbade all moon shifters from changing a human in order to save them from death. Grayson Quinn, the alpha of the pack ignores the ancient rule when Sydney Carlisle, his fiancée is ravaged by one of his own kind.

Sydney believes she is a monster, a werewolf. She flees before Grayson can help her adjust, but Grayson must find her. Sydney’s body is still changing and the were lust will drive her crazy if not sated. He has until the full moon to help her tame the wolf inside and convince her she’s his soul mate. If he fails, he loses her forever.

Sydney still craves Grayson's touch, but can her heart forgive him for making her one of the Mac Tíre?

Review: This was a very fast, engaging and sexy romance.

Sydney is angry and frightened. She is in no mood to listen to the man who turned her into this monster.

Grayson is patient and concerned in his efforts to make Sydney listen. He really needs to get past her anger to explain to her the current emotional and physical dilemma she faces. He knows she hates him for what she has become but he is unaware that the doctor never explained why Grayson wasn’t there for her when she first shifted.

Add to these conflicts the fact that both Sydney and Grayson have memories of how wonderful their relationship was before she was attacked. Plus there is the continued pull of attraction that they are fighting for different reasons.

I really like the shifter clan that Ms. Nutt created.  Some “werewolf” myths and wolf facts are smoothly woven into a very believable plot.  All the action and emotion in the story are focused around the central romance. The sexual tension is intense and the intimacy is spicy.  The writing flows for an easy read.  If you like a fast paced, sexy romance story you can’t go wrong with this one!

I won this book at a contest blog where Karen talked about creating her world of shifters.  I forgot to say thanks in the Monday Mailbox post to Skhye who hosted that contest - so a little late - Thank You! Take a peek at Skhye's Ramblings where she has listed some online kids activities!

This is my Tuesday R&R review post at SaSR group today.
