Her gaze shifted to the inscription below the stem of the rose. “Love, Loyalty and Friendship I give to thee. For now, for always thru eternity,” she murmured.
Her finger hovered over the words as an inkling of a memory flashed. She knew this saying, had read it or… someone had spoken the words to her. She placed her hand on the cool panel, but gasped and stepped back in surprise as the stained-glass warped and shifted as if being melted away.
Calli asked why he hadn’t killed her if he was indeed a Gryphon shifter. He told her it was because of who she was to him.

Calli Angelis broke into the Museum of Cursed Antiquities to steal Hecate’s Stone. With the item in her hand she’s making her way out of the museum to only come up short when a statue once positioned in the back room is now blocking the front door to freedom.
