Snippet Sunday: Magic of the Loch Chap. 2 #8 @WildRosePress #SPeekSunday #8sunday #snippetsunday

Hello Sunday Readers!

What's new with you?

Yesterday, we had a family reunion Beach Party. Lots of fun in the sun! lol

What have you been reading? I've started reading  the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout. I'm on book Two (Three if you count the  prequel short story.) It's a Teen Read. Roswell fans will like this series!

Magic of the Loch is on sale for only 99 cents at The Wild Rose Press and atAmazon! It's a big savings from its usual ticket price of $5.99. So if you haven't picked up a copy, here's your chance to own it for less than a buck!

Now for Snippet Sunday. This is another snippet from Magic of the Loch. Today's snippet is a couple of paragraphs later from last week.

Michaela Grant travels to Scotland for a holiday, knowing this vacation is her last. A medical condition threatens her life and any chance of a future—until she meets Alan MacLachlin, a man forced to exist between two worlds.

Alan is the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Once every fifty years he returns to human form in search of his soul mate, the one woman who can break his curse. He believes he has found forever with Michaela, but to claim it he must figure out how to save her life.

Michaela and Alan vow to take what time has to offer, but another threat looms. A sinister shape shifter with a vendetta against Alan is making Loch Ness his personal hunting ground. Now he’s threatening Michaela. Alan must discover who the shifter is and stop him before it’s too late.

*Note: Snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit.

****************************************************************************
Set up for the scene: Michaela agrees to let Alan and Hyatt give her a tour of the loch so she can search for the legendary Loch Ness Monster. As Hyatt and Michaela conversed, Alan realizes Michaela is not feeling well. He's slows the boat to a stop, asking Hyatt to take over. Alan uses his 'magic hands' to ease her headache.

Now for the snippet: (Alan's POV) Michaela is speaking first.

**************************************************************************************************

“No amount of medication has helped once the migraines take hold.”

“I’m glad I have given ye some comfort then. It’s the least I could do since I was bein’ so boorish with ye earlier. Will ye accept my apology, then?” He flashed a smile. The one he knew the lassies found difficult to ignore. Hyatt wasn’t the only one who could charm his way around a woman.

************************************************************************************************

So will Michaela forgive him?

Find out next week with more of Alan's POV.

Like always thanks so much for stopping by.  I would love to know what you thought of the snippet. :)

  1. How could she NOT forgive him? I think he’s earned it.

(And can I borrow him? I woke up with what it turning into a full blown migraine — either it needs go or the head that has it does!)

  2. She better forgive him. 🙂 I love this change in him.
I’m at a family reunion of sorts too. My in-laws 50th anniversary party is this afternoon. Good times and good eats. 🙂

  3. I think if I met a guy with magic hands who could cure my headaches, that would pretty much seal the deal right there! I could overlook a lot for magic healing hands.
