When the Hayes brothers arrived at the Wilkins’ home, they found the Nosferatu (one of the more nastier vampires and the most lethal) , rummaging through the drawers. Most likely hunting for a souvenir to take back to his nest, a memento of his successful kill. They vampire escaped outside, but they know it hasn’t left.

This is from Snippet Two where Adryanna and Bram (vampires), decide to help an ailing lad (7 year old, Abraham) with a few drops of their blood. They aren’t going to change them, but their blood tends to heal some ailments. This is their hope for Abraham and they have entered the child’s room after he’s been put to bed.
The year is 1854, Dublin, Ireland. This is in Bram’s POV. Young Abraham is speaking first.

Adryanna stayed hidden within the trees. The hill stood high enough for her to see the event without hindrance. The clan stood waiting on either side of a red runner, fashioned from woven fabric and ribbon. Music played and the crowd turned to witness the arrival of Fianait. Two large mares pulled a cart adorned with flowers and garland. Fianait stood proud in a gown of light blue. Her hair was pulled back to expose the tender flesh at her neck.
