Hot Western Nights just got hotter… #8sunday #snippetsunday

Fake Marriage with a Dash of Desire, my western novella, featured in Hot Western Nights.

This is in Nash's POV. Nash is speaking first.

This Week's Snippet Below. Last week Nash wanted Lulu to tell him Little Miss' real name.

***

Lulu opened her mouth to tell him, but then for some reason thought better of it. She sashayed over to him and put her arms around his neck, drawing his attention. "Forget her honey; she won't go for a tumble. You let her alone and let Lulu take care of you."

He hesitated. He had wanted Lulu before the woman with the whiskey-rough voice and sea-green eyes came bounding inside his room. Well, who was he kidding? Lulu's hands were becoming quite persuasive, but still, his gaze wavered toward the window. The street bustled with rough and ready cowpokes, but there was no sign of the agile temptress who'd made her escape. He sighed with regret before he allowed himself to fall under Lulu's charms, and after a while, he forgot about the enchanting pixie.

What do you want to bet it won't be for long?

  1. Nice job of showing how persuasive Lulu is. πŸ™‚

I am sooo curious about who the Pixie is and why they all seem to know her- well, everyone but Nash seems to know her. πŸ™‚

  2. I’m sure she’ll be back on his mind again soon enough…so many mysteries going on here! Quite a different story, enjoyed the snippet, although I wanted him to go chasing after the pixie LOL.

  3. I have the feeling that Lulu is the “easy come, easy go” sort of gal while he finds something more substantial in Little Miss. Or, perhaps it is the mystery which draws him to her.
