Art of love… Heart and Soul #8sunday #SnipSun

Heart and Soul is a WIP.

This is in Maverick's POV. He's talking to Katie about the new guy she's dating.

This Week's Snippet Below.

"He's a tattoo artist. See what he did for me," she said as she rolled up her sleeve to reveal a tree of life tattoo with the trunk on her arm and the branches and leaves extending to her shoulder. "I still have a few more sittings to do."

"It doesn't look half bad," he commented as he took in the detail with interest.

"Don't say it like it hurts."

He chuckled. "I mean it. He does nice work. I only question you because I care. You know that, right?"

About Heart and Soul...

80s rock star, Haley Rose went missing without a trace on October 31, 1988, and was eventually presumed dead. Three decades later, a thirty-year-old woman, Rowan Beckett recalls things only Haley Rose would know and she can belt out songs in the same fashion as the missing 80s star. However, Rowan couldn't be the missing rock star since the woman would now be in her fifties. Could Haley Rose have come back reincarnated as Rowan Beckett?

    1. Iris,
Not so much about the tattoo but of Katie jumping into a relationship with a guy who isn’t good for her. Not to say that Spike isn’t but he doesn’t know him and he’s judging him from her past failed relationships.

I know it’s hard to see that in a small snippet but it is covered as to why he’s not happy with her choice. He’s still waiting to see if Spike is up to making his friend happy.

    1. Aurora,
He just found out what Spike did for a living. This is the first time he met the guy. Unfortunately, he’s judging him because Katie doesn’t have a great track record when choosing a guy.

  1. That’s a nice exchange between them. He’s just being honest–and I surmise that her track record has taught him to be cautious about her boyfriends. Good sniipet. 🙂

  2. Enjoyed the snippet. I like the way this story is flowing along (but then, I always enjoy your writing). Still, I’m looking forward to getting back to the mai ncharacter and the bigger mystery!
