Heart and Soul is a WIP.

This is in Maverick's POV. Ghost stories...

This Week's Snippet Below.

The family closed the park even though they had just finished the pool that had four slides and a wading area. Some say the woman who haunts this place is the daughter, but others believe it's the mother who is hoping her daughter will return home. She had loved this place and would frequent it often before bigger dreams took her away. During the summers, she worked at the concession stand." He turned toward the building behind him and shone his flashlight. "Maybe she'll be serving the guest tonight."

There were a few gasped from the crowd then chuckles.

"Any other ghosts?" a woman asked with curiosity.

Maverick realized many of the people here were not locals and must have heard about the ghost tour from someone who lived around here. Word of mouth had a way of finding people who were interested in the paranormal, especially around Halloween.

About Heart and Soul...

80s rock star, Haley Rose went missing without a trace on October 31, 1988, and was eventually presumed dead. Three decades later, a thirty-year-old woman, Rowan Beckett recalls things only Haley Rose would know and she can belt out songs in the same fashion as the missing 80s star. However, Rowan couldn't be the missing rock star since the woman would now be in her fifties. Could Haley Rose have come back reincarnated as Rowan Beckett?

  1. I’m with Ed, I wonder too about the connection. Also, ghost tours are very popular πŸ™‚

  2. Good set up and building of tension and curiousity for whatever will come next! I’m enjoying the story immensely, as always. another great snippet!

  3. Yes, people will come a long way for a good ghost tour. I’ve never heard of a haunted water park, but I’m sure there’s one out there. Any place that normally has tons of people in it looks creepy when it’s deserted. I’m eagerly awaiting the next move!
