Setup for this snippet: WIP from Heart and Soul. This is a snippet from my new 'rock star romance' that I'm working on. It's in the very early stages.
This week:
The dream ended abruptly. Rowan's eyes flew open and she sat up in bed.
This is Rowan's POV.

The light from the moon shone through the window where the curtains were slightly parted bathing the room in a soft glow. Her gaze took in her surroundings and realized she was in her new apartment, her new home. Leaning over to retrieve her phone from the nightstand, the screen lit up with a touch and the time read 3:00 am. She placed the phone down and settled back on her pillow. She had another dream, starring her in another life. The man in her dreams always told her everything would be all right but it hadn't been. Everything went sideways in a way neither of them had expected.
The dream tonight had been one of the happier ones, but she had others that weren't so cheerful.
She turned on her side and curled her knees toward her. Her dreams led her here, and with luck, she'd find the answers she sought and hopefully peace.

About Heart and Soul...
80s rock star, Haley Rose went missing without a trace on October 31 1988 and was eventually presumed dead. Three decades later, a thirty-year old woman, Rowan Beckett recalls things only Haley Rose would know and she can belt out songs in the same fashion as the missing 80s star. However, Rowan couldn't be the missing rock star since the woman would now be in her fifties. Could Haley Rose have came back reincarnated as Rowan Beckett?

Nice snippet, I like the idea of reincarnation and having dreams of a past that Rowan couldn’t have. Looking forward to more.

Today’s snippet twists the story in an intriguing new direction. I didn’t realize she was so aware of her “other life.”
Oh man, I hate those 3AM dreams! So hard to get back to sleep…but I love the way you’ve worked this into the story and that she’s had a variety of these dreams about the mysterious past. This is a terrific story and today’s snippet just adds more intriguing layers.
I totally believe in past life dreams, having experienced them myself! Those kinds of dreams often continue till we resolve those issues from the past.

I, too, didn’t realize she’s aware of another life. Dreams tell us so many things about ourselves. Great snippet.
I would imagine that she’s going to have a hard time falling back asleep. I didn’t realize she was so conscious to the other life she possibly had.
Love her awareness of the dreams and how they are influencing her actions in the waking world.
