Hyatt had already stationed himself at another table of all women, who buzzed around him like bees to honey. The pub may be filled with people, but in all other sense, Alan and she were alone with no one close enough to hear their conversation.

“Um…shouldn’t you drive your girlfriend home?” she asked and waved her thumb toward Kait, who sauntered out the door.

“Kait and I are only friends. No need to worry, she lives nearby, besides, ” the corners of his mouth twitched, “she’d take my head clean off if I held her hand all the way home.”

Hyatt’s boisterous laugh drew Michaela’s attention and she smiled when he waved and blew her a kiss.

“I should warn ye,” Alan said and leaned forward in his seat, his beautiful blue-eyed gaze proving a distraction and making it difficult to follow his words.

“About what?”

Hmm... What will Alan warn her about? Hmm... :)

  1. Great snippet–I’m anxious to see what the warning’s all about. Nice desciptions.

  2. And so much for Kait! 😀

I love this part—Alan and Michaela making assumptions about each other. It’s clear that Alan’s powers don’t stretch to telepathy! 😀

    1. Sarah,
I do love the beginnings of a relationship and how they feel each out out to find out if they stand a chance. Even Alan having his wonderful talent, isn’t sure where Michaela’s interest are. Thanks so much for popping in for a sneak peek. 🙂

  3. I’m eager to find out what he’s warning her about… Kait? The other man that was in and who was looking for a fight? (His name escapes me at the moment. Ethan?) Or something more light-hearted?

  4. Oh what a time to stop! Can’t wait to find out what the warning will be, excellent excerpt. I just feel so at home in this place, thanks to your terrific way with the descriptions.
