Going home isn’t always easy. Twirl and Dip #SnipSun #snippetsunday

Twirl and Dip (WIP) Drake's POV (Drake's is speaking first.)

He and Maverick had hit it off when they met all those years ago on the road and shared stories over a few beers one night. Sure, they hadn't gotten together much in the last few years, but they'd kept in touch with a phone call now and again.

"Are you going home to see the woman you left behind?" Maverick added.

He nodded.

Maverick sat back in his seat to study him. "Do you know what you're going to say to her when you see her?"

Obviously, he remembered how he left things with Eastyn. "I haven't worked out all the kinks." Which was putting it mildly.

Maverick's right brow quirked. "You might want to come up with something before you see her."

Possible Blurb:

Eastyn has her soda shop to run and specialty ice creams to create. Only the place is falling apart, and she may have a haunted jukebox that chooses songs to communicate. If things couldn't get any more complicated, Drake, her ex-fiancé, returns home after five years on the road with his rock band, Never Mind the Damage.

Eastyn vows not to fall for Drake's charms again, but when you have a lifetime of memories with the man, the heart seems not to care about pledges. Her haunted jukebox believes choosing the right song to twirl and dip to is the answer to everything. However, Eastyn isn't convinced. She wants to know if Drake is home for good, or will he break her heart all over again?

Latest Audiobook Release.

Two Worlds Collided is one of my favorite tales about time travel, romance, and second chances. You can revisit the story at Audible, or if you haven't read it yet, experience the adventure for the first time as the narrator opens the door to a new world. That's right. You heard it hear first. Two Worlds Collided is available in an audiobook format narrated by the talented Sharmila Devar.

Are you excited yet? Yes, you say. Me, too.

  1. Oh, interesting. I wonder what he’s going to do, go with on the spot or prepare what he wants to say.

  2. That kind of apology is not something you should do off the cuff. He needs to have a plan and words aforethought before seeing her.

  3. Good advice for sure! I hope he listens but you know, so far he’s been so spur of the moment, I have my doubts! It’ll make for a great story no matter what…enjoyed the snippet.

  4. A plan would be nice, because it can be hard to start the conversation. As soon as Eastyn opens her mouth, though, he’s going to have to improvise in response, so a plan will only take him so far.
