Six Sentence Sunday The Devil’s Wolf #1

It's Six Sentence Sunday! I thought I would share a tidbit from my Historical Romance, The Devil's Wolf.

Short Blurb: When Archie Maxwell is accused falsely of killing a Johnstone, his brother, Waylon, known as the Devil's Wolf, sets out to save him. His bargaining tool is the Johnstone's daughter, Catrione. He plans to ransom her for his brother's release, but once he lays eyes on her, his plans take another turn.

In this scene, Waylon has been sword fighting with a lad, who refuses to surrender, but he is in for a big surprise. He removes the helmet which hid the lad's face. Waves of dark tresses come tumbling out.

Enjoy the Six!

"By all that is holy, are ye mad?" He yanked her to her feet. His gaze took in the length of her and he reprimanded himself for being so blind. Every curve stood out now that he knew the truth. He pursed his lips together. "The lady Catrione, I presume?"

  1. Whoops, *now* he notices her curves! Too late for him, I’m guessing. Great six.

    1. Hi Siobhan,
Yep, he was there to kidnap her not kill her, but obviously the lady preferred death over being in Waylon’s arms. He’ll just have to change her mind. lol Thanks so much for stopping by.
